Tennis Court Lighting

With concerns about “Light Pollution” councils have now enforced strict lighting controls to inhibit light spillage. We at A.S. Lodge have developed the top-quality lights that whilst meeting the strictest council requirements also gives you the best light levels on the court. In keeping with our desire to present a spectacular looking court we can use architecturally curved outreach arms to soften the overall appearance.

Tennis court lighting in Melbourne have come a long way since the original quartz halogen spotlights, that were constantly requiring replacement whilst only providing a low-level yellow illuminance. Flood lights for tennis courts then moved to adopt the metal halide system of lighting.

We at A S Lodge were never content to install the industry standard, often driven by a low budget, of 4 x 1000-watt fittings. we developed a 1500-watt metal halide (Ultimate Pro) light fitting that set our courts above all others due to on court luminance and playability.

Lighting and energy designs are constantly changing. With ever increasing cost of power consumption there is an inevitable push to install LED tennis court lights. We have been at the forefront of such changes and are able to offer the State-of the Art LED ‘Blade type’ lighting design. These Blade lights are far more than just flood lights for tennis courts. The super slim and sleek design results in an aesthetic appearance for the highly obvious fitting.

Budget driven projects have seen some very poor quality imported open flood lights used to light tennis courts. These fittings may have been designed for use on car park and the like but struggle to provide a uniform and high luminance required to play tennis under. These light fittings have not been designed to contain the light spillage and may be in contravention of council planning laws.

We at A S Lodge can provide computer generated plotting maps of the illuminance and spill as may be required by council or merely as a comparison of fittings. Ask our team member to arrange for a specific design to illustrate the blade superiority. A S Lodge can also design the appropriate light tower and footing relevant to your specific site.

Your integrity and control of yesterday's situation was most reassuring that I had made the correct decision in choosing your company.

J. Pokinhorne, Mill Park

A S Lodge carried out a full resurfacing of our 28 year old tennis court with a new concrete base and synthetic grass. From the initial discussions with Richard and innovative approach to the final sign off with Sandy the complete experience was one of minimal inconvenience and complete satisfaction.

The concrete team and then the grass laying team were efficient and extremely fast in their execution of their tasks.

The finished result is what looks like a brand new court.

We are extremely satisfied in our choice of A S Lodge, and would recommend them to anyone in the future.

Once again thanks for a great project.
